[vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”40px”][vc_column_text]My name is Brian Bowness, but I also go by the name Coach Bones. Let me first welcome you to what I feel will be THE place to learn every aspect of the greatest game ever invented! This blog was put up for you, so you don’t have to wade through the sea of garbage that some people (especially guru’s) would call instruction.
That’s right! I said it… garbage!
Listen…
I have been involved with baseball my entire life. (In fact, the first day I came home from the hospital after being born, my Dad tried to get me to hold a baseball!) I have played, coached, and instructed on several different levels. I have worked along side players of all skill levels. From the little leagues to the Big Leagues (including MVPs), I have worked with them all!
I’m NOT saying this to brag! In fact, the only reason why I’m bringing any of that up is to explain why this blog exists in the first place.
You see, I’ve been asked to do something ‘more’ with my baseball knowledge for quite some time now. At first, my teammates would tell me that I would tell them little ‘secrets’ they never thought of. (I can remember my roommate – a pitcher – telling me I knew more ‘little things’ about pitching than he did… and I was a position player at that time!) Then once I finished playing ball, the coaching bug bit me and I was told I had ‘the gift’ to get my point across in a way everyone on the ball club could understand. And finally, as a private instructor, I’ve had specific requests to follow my players to college (as a coach) to make sure they stay on the right track.
Again, not bragging, but I have to tell you a little something about me before you spend you valuable time reading my posts, right?
Anyway…
I have been asked quite a few times, that ‘hiding out’ in one training facility wasn’t reaching enough people. Some people recommended college coaching. Some suggested professional coaching. Some said I should become a scout (which I do a little of too).
All those ideas were great, but it still left a hole in the amount of people I want to reach.
So that brings me to CoachBones.com.
- I want anybody and everybody that has the drive to become the best player possible reading this blog.
- I want any and every parent who lives and dies with every move their ball player makes on the field to know whether or not the moves that are being made are in the best interest of their most important person on the roster.
- I want coaches looking to run quality practices, searching for new ideas to bring to the table, or ideas to relate/handle/teach players lessons they will take with them forever.
- I want to be in your corner to throw out red flags at the slop that so-called ‘experts’ sling out there.
Believe me, there’s plenty of it, and if you keep reading, you’ll find out exactly what I’m talking about. (There’s not enough room to get started on it here, but I will start on it, trust me!)
Bottom Line: I want you to get the ‘straight dope’ from someone who knows the importance of having someone lead you on the right path.
In any event, I hope you give my blog a shot. I know from the feedback I’ve gotten over the years, that I can lead you on the path to your success in baseball… make no bones about it!
Talk with you soon!
